Inspired by a prompt from Ellen Millions Sketchfest and by two songs - Casting Crowns, "And Now My Lifesong Sings" and Evanescence's, "Bring Me To Life".
 

The original prompt was "Music Saved My Soul" and my first inspiration for this piece was Evanescence's song, "Bring Me To Life" and certain parts of the lyrics of the song, "How can you see into my eyes like open doors?
Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb,
Without a soul (without)
My spirit sleeping somewhere cold.
Until you find it there and lead it back....home".

Later, I was thinking about the words of the song and the prompt, and it's Jesus. Jesus saved my soul and He lead me back home. And as I was working on the backround and it slowly came to life, I was thinking of the heavens, worshipping and praising God through music. Singing for the Lord. And then the other day, the perfect Bible verse came to me in Bible Study, as we were viewing lesson 9, in Beth Moore's, "Believing God" ~ Psalm 47:6-7 "Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise." And then Casting Crowns song really said it all, "I once was lost, but now I'm found, and now my lifesong sings to you."

I praise you oh Lord. I will sing a psalm of praise to you oh Lord. Let my lifesong sing to you and for you oh Lord. Please bring my soul to life oh Lord.
