Animal symbolism can be found throughout Celtic mythology
and their artwork. The Celts believed their deities
could shapeshift or take the form of any animal. Birds
represented many of the Celtic deities and or beliefs.
The Peacock was associated with solar deities. They represented immortality and resurrection, wisdom and vision and could teach
"those" how to awaken their clairvoyant gifts. It was
a protective and powerful symbol. And taught one to
see the beauty of all aspects of life, to never take things
so seriously and to walk with dignity and grace.
I awake to an eerie call, in the magick of the night
Elemental spirits quickly surround me,
Within a misty veil a strong, bold aura emerges.
Brightly colored plumes enshroud me.
Protect me, Oh Shining Ones!
Guide me towards my new found path.
The veil slowly lifts,
And my spiritual awakening enfolds me.
